Today, our RBE fourth graders wrapped up their Bluebonnet Unit 1 study of personal narratives! Throughout the unit, students explored personal narratives inspired by the lives and experiences of Tomás Rivera, Peg Kehret, and Clara Driscoll.
To bring their learning to life and deepen their understanding of Clara Driscoll and Texas cattle drives, students designed their own personal cattle brands, made some tasty Cowboy Trail Mix, and even learned how to rope!
A very special THANK YOU to Mr. Trey Avila for taking the time to teach our students some roping skills! 🤠 Our students had a wonderful time making connections between what they learned in the classroom and a little piece of Texas history.
