New Teacher Shower

What an incredible and productive week at Ramirez-Burks Elementary! From August 3 through August 7, our dedicated faculty and staff engaged in robust professional development and collaborative planning to prepare for an outstanding school year.

Throughout the week, staff completed essential training across a wide range of topics, including:

  • District & Academic Priorities: Convocation, NWEA MAP assessment protocols, and Accountability Training

    .

  • Instructional & Classroom Excellence: PBIS Status & Rollout, SPED 101, T-TESS Goal-Setting and Evaluator Calibration, TIA Framework sessions, and Math & Reading Lesson Internalization

    .

  • Campus & Safety Operations: Campus Emergency Operations Plan (EOP), Employee Handbook review, Child Abuse Prevention training, and CPR Recertification

    .

Beyond professional growth, team bonding was at the heart of our week! Staff participated in energizing team-building activities, including the "Save the Astronaut" challenge, grade-level "Speed Dating," creating our Social Contracts, and discovering "Your North Star".

We also celebrated our New RBE teachers with a "New Teacher Shower" where our staff gifted them with some classroom items to start their year off with the things we feel would be most helpful!

The biggest shout out of the week was a delicious lunch graciously provided by Dr. Vanessa Fox-Norton and her mom, Ms. Fox, bringing everyone together to recharge and connect.
